1. Did his graduation & post-graduation from K.E.M. Hospital, Bombay University, obtaining his M.S. & D.O.M.S. & F.C_P.S. degrees all in 1983, with a Gold Medal in D.O.M.S.
 2. Was a Lecturer at Nair Hospital for a year, before starting private practice in 1986.
3. Superspecialised in diseases of the Cornea & Anterior Segment Microsurgery from London, Boston & Rochester, U S A.
4. Has over 2 dozen publications & scientific papers to his name in National & International Journals,
5. Is Co-author_ of chapter on "Ophthalmology" in 4 books.
6. Has conducted an " Ophthalmic Quiz " at the National Conference every year, for 12 years (1991 - 2003).
7. Was the President of Maharashtra Ophthalmological Society for (1994-95). Was President, of Bombay Ophthalmologists' Association (2000-01). He is the youngest person in the history of these societies to hold these posts.
8. Is attached to the Wadia Children's Hospital, Saifee and Habib Hospitals as Honorary Consultant Eye Surgeon.
9. Is the only Ophthalmologist from India to present a paper at the Inaugural Conference of the College of Ophthalmologists, U.K. in (1989) and represented India at the Centenary of the Oxford Ophthalmic Society in (1986).
 10. Has been a Guest Speaker at the Asia Pacific Corneal Conference at Singapore (1989) & Hyderabad (2002). Has been invited faculty at SAARC Conference Sri Lanka (1999) & Asia Pacific Academy of Ophth Bangkok (2003).
11. Has been invited to lecture & teach eye surgery at China in April (1998) & Philippines (2002)r Sri Lanka (2004).
12. He is the only Ophthalmologist in Asia having extensive experience of the PINTUCCI Keratoprosthesis, having done 46 cases since 1997, He presented this work at the ARVO (Association for Research in Vision & Ophthalmology) meeting & the International Ocular Surface Society & KPro Society meeting in U S A May (2001) Singapore National University Hospital (2002).
13. He has given guest lectures on Ocular Surface Disorders and the Pintucci Keratoprosthesis in over 20 cities and towns all over India
14. He was sole ophthalmic Advisor to "Sight Savers International (formerly Royal Commonwealth Society for the Blind) for the whole of India from 1997 to 2003.
 15. Joined Rotary in 1986. He was the President of the Rotary Club of Bombay North for 1995-96. He was the DISTRICT CHAIRMAN “EYE DONATION & KERATOPLASTY”, Rotary International, Dist.-3140 (2000-01). District chairman “Care of the Eye” committee (2002-2003)
16. Has been participating & has conducted numerous cataract and squint surgical camps all over Maharashtra,Rajasthan, Gujarat & Madhya Pradesh since 1980.
